Making the shortlist in the first European Brand Film Festival

We’re delighted to share that Jaywing has been shortlisted in the first European Brand Film Festival. The mini-documentary created for Castrol GTX, "The 3 Million Mile Journey", features alongside nine other films in the Brand Documentary category.

The campaign, centred on a 15-minute film called ‘The 3 Million Mile Journey’ set in the heart of New York, showcases the fascinating journey that World Record Breaker Irv Gordon has taken over the last 50 years. Back in 1966, now retired science teacher, Irv bought a brand new Volvo P1800S. Since then, he’s travelled the equivalent of to the moon and back six times, having only ever used Castrol oil to lubricate his engine.

Our role in the film project allowed us to be hands on from the beginning of the planning process for ‘The 3 Million Mile Journey’ documentary, developing the concept and storyboarding the film, through to designing and managing the set build. As a result, featuring in the shortlist is well-earned recognition of all the planning, co-ordination and creativity that went into creating this film.
