Launched back in May, Prolific North's Inspired Spaces 2017 – the annual search for the most inspired, interesting and innovative workspaces in the North’s creative sector – opened for entries. Jaywing’s flagship Sheffield HQ was whittled down to an outstanding shortlist of 32.
The judging has been done, but we’d love your help! This year the vote has been opened up to the creative community and the wider public.
You can view all of the shortlisted entries and vote for your favourite here.
We couldn’t be happier that all the talented people involved in what has been a major conservation and regeneration project in the area, receive the recognition they deserve. The significant redevelopment of the once derelict, former forge has kick-started a new phase of regeneration in Sheffield’s Cultural Industries Quarter both by commercial developers and the council.
Involving a number of local companies, the design delivers an exciting, functional and sympathetic space that retains its industrial heritage while creating a new, modern working environment.

“At Jaywing, we’re committed to developing new talent, regeneration, local community and environmental improvement. The opportunity to create a more inspirational space in a ‘ground-up’ development of a truly modern working environment, married with the rich cultural heritage of the Sheffield steel and silver industry was too good to miss – it strikes at the heart of what we’re about as an organisation.
A development of this significance absolutely signals our commitment to Sheffield, both for our plc HQ and our wide-ranging agency operations, encompassing creative, digital and search.”
