It is with great excitement we are able to announce that Jaywing has been shortlisted for an Online Media Award at the annual Cannes Corporate Media and TV awards held on the 28th of September.

Our mini-documentary ‘3 Million Mile Journey’, produced for long-term client Castrol GTX, captures the essence of human endeavour and what can be achieved with the best tools to hand.

The documentary tells the fascinating story of World Record Breaker Irv Gordon, who has driven 3 million miles in his 1966 Volvo P1800S, only ever using Castrol oil. Presented by Formula One presenter Lee McKenzie, world class scientific analysis from Cambridge University compliments Irv’s pure passion for the care of his car.

The documentary showcases the best of Jaywing’s skills as an agency; having worked on the project from the beginning of the planning stages, building the concept and developing creative through to designing and managing the set build. From beautiful shots of the New York skyline to informative technical insights and a heart-warming dialogue, the documentary brings a truly unique story to life to provide the opportunity for motoring enthusiasts to learn more about the merits of Castrol GTX.

We can’t wait to head to Cannes to find out whether ‘3 Million Mile Journey’ has earned a Golden, Silver, Black or Blue Dolphin, or even - dare we say it - the Grand Prix prize! You can take a look at the shortlisted film below.
